Garth Brooks holds Teammates Procamp at Gonzaga

SPOKANE, Wash. -Before taking the stage for his concert doubleheader, country music legend, Garth Brooks hosted a sports workshop for at-risk children with Gonzaga men's basketball coach Mark Few, “The most important thing I've ever done in my life other than being a father myself is this right here. This is the coolest thing," said Brooks.

About 80 boys and girls, grades 2-6 from The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest, & Spokane Cares came out to play some hoops with the Gonzaga men's basketball team.  "Thank goodness for guys like this that also understand the greatest thing you can do when you coach kids at this age at the age of the ballplayers he's got is how to distribute that down to those kids," Brooks added.

Garth Brooks and Coach Few took to the court and were teaching the kids valuable life lessons. And at the same time having fun, "If we can strip away where we are from, I bet you all we'd be just like this. ]Man because it's our surroundings that make us what we are we all are born with our true heart, and that's what you see come out of athletics that's why I love Athletics in children." Brooks said.
